What is a region? What is “place”? How does a writer know what is his or her home?
We are interested in how the strong individual identities of four states can work to share the strengths of each with all.
Rose Tree Writers is a simple concept. Recognize the unique features of Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina, but leverage the supports and networks of each state to improve access to regional strengths for all writers.
That’s what it looks like from here. We have a simple plan now that we hope to build and expand with your collaboration. Any time, please drop a comment here on the site or e-mail us at rosetreewriters@gmail.com and let us know the answer to our constant question, “What does it look like from your vantage point?”
We are eager to know!
Warm regards –
Katharine, Jeremy, Elizabeth, and Anne

you can include The Poetry Society of Virginia and The MUSE school in Norfolk, VA
Thank you so much, Michal! The first of the year we will post an entire page of new resource links, and we will make sure these two great adds are on it. Much appreciated!
As a West Virginia poet and flash fiction author, I’d be glad to contribute to your site!
I am a member of the Appalachian PenWorks Writers Group in Princeton, WV.

Thank you, Sal! I will email you soon about your group and about sharing some work with the website, that would be wonderful!
Elizabeth, did you ever get back to me about submitting to your website?
Salvatore
I don’t think I did, and I apologize for that! I’d love to have you write something. Please send me a concept to edg@longridgeeditors.com. I am especially interested in any multi-state networking for writers that you have done, but also welcome thoughts on writing in general. Thank you!
